Dr Hlaing obtained her MBBS from the University of Medicine, Mandalay in 2012, and commenced working in hospitals throughout Mandalay,  building her knowledge base.

Since moving to Australia in 2021, Dr Hlaing has enjoyed expanding her knowledge through rotations across various departments in Queensland hospitals and is now working towards fellowship as a registrar of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.

Dr Hlaing speaks fluent Burmese and English.
